I truly think if Kokushibo/Michikatsu had the same strength/Potential as his brother, they would kill Muzan in that meeting.
The reason Being that muzan went into hiding because he actually feared for his live, upon splitting in to, i think it were 1300 pieces, Yuriichi sliced 800 of them by himself, if Michikatsu was with him and had the same abilities they would have caught all 1300, maybe a bit less but it would be enough for Muzan to regenerate from as even he cant regen from just 1 tiny piece.

I feel like it would be more of a combination between the good and bad timeline you gave. Make it so that Yorichii and kokoshibo lived their life growing stonger together and if anything have kokoshibo be the stronger of the siblings due to his ambition and competitive nature. I feel like he would be a good level or two beyond Yorichii but Yorichii would still be able to keep up. But on their death beds have muzan sneak on kokoshibo. Because while he would be stronger he would also be more open. Allowing an opening for muzan to jump him with a group of powerful demons and inject Kokoshibo with his blood. Probably pumping even more then the original just to make sure kokoshibo was under his control. Then while fighting the mist hashira he would see his brother due to the wind hashira's stoic and lazy demeanor being similar to his brother's. Snapping him out of the mind control or better yet have the fight change so that tanjiro is there to having kokoshibo see a vision of him and Yorichii fighting side by side with him being muzan. Then he would snap out of the vision accidentally calling tanjiro brother due to the visible similarities. With that they would bond and then go kill muzan or kokoshibo would kill himself right there out of guilt for all the deaths that he caused begging for his brother's forgiveness.

Yoriichi would actually be weaker as a demon. As Sun Breathing was made exactly to kill demons it will take unnecessary effort to kill humans even if it's almost the same.
The reason why Muzan lived is because Yoriichi wanted to ask him a question but muzan spreaded in pieces. With Michikatsu Muzan has no chance whatsoever.
Kokushibo with yoriichis potential after all those years could have gotten as strong or stronger than Yoriichi. That making him be able to Beat muzan in a 1v1 fight and becoming the Demon King in the process. Now DK Kokushibo would have a way better leadership and now that he is the Strongest to have ever existed wouldn't really hunt down humans but rather try to find a cure for walking on the sunlight and living in peace. As his desire came to reality
