#BuildingLife Ambassador and ESG Manager with Cairn Homes plc Susie Crawford tells us why she decided to join #buildinglife and what she is hoping to achieve with the campaign.

#BuildingLife is a project led in Ireland by the Irish Green Building Council (IGBC). The initiative aims to achieve the mix of private sector action and public policy necessary to tackle the whole-life impact of buildings.

The IGBC launched a roadmap to decarbonise Ireland’s built environment across its whole life cycle. The roadmap shows that construction and the built environment are directly responsible for 37% of Ireland’s emissions, the same as agriculture.
