In the Students' town (Studentski Grad in Bulgarian). There are all the dormitories of the Sofia universities and lots of discos, bars, night club. It is a true sin city there.

during the summer a lot of people drink in the parks in the center, it can get quite lively, some time there might be a band and the whole thing can become like an impromptu concert. Anyway during the summer a lot of the bars and clubs close down and open their venues on the seaside taking staff with them.

Sofia has some wonderful nightlife. In fact, one of the Top 100 Clubs In The World is here (Exe). We have everything from quiet pubs to well curated rooftop bars to some of the best EDM you'll hear in the world. And like another commenter said, Studenski Grad (very far from the center) is its own beast. It's where the students live, and many clubs there have their own flavor-- specifically Chalga, which is local turbo folk pop music.

The problem with our nightlife is that (besides Studenski Grad) while it's all walkable to each other, you kind of have to know where to look since they are a bit spread out/not always directly off Vitosha. Signage here sucks and things are tucked back, so unless you're on a pub crawl or know the places you want to hit it can be kind of hard to find.
