You've made a grammatical error when describing 2 to the exponent 3 and the other powers. It is not 2 to the 'power of 3'. It's 2 cubed or 2 to the exponent 3. What's the power? The entire base and exponent is called a power.So 2 cubed is a power. Check it out.

I find it odd that you explain base 10 counting after they are supposed to understand exponents. Shouldn't this be taught along side long addition? Sincerely curious as to why this is the case.
