Larry... there is no restart zone but the leader controls the restart whenever he wants to go. The restart zone is anywhere from where the pace car pulls off and the cue says "get ready" up until nearly the start line where the flag throws automatically

I still don’t get how MTJ’s wreck wasn’t a caution but Ryan Newman’s was.

This was before i-Racing fixed the drafting issue I believe. When these cars came out it was very quickly discovered that you could not have somebody behind you or it would make the car get so damn loose. Also, all the physics still aren't totally accurate, we'll probably have to wait to watch some real racing of these cars before we get a more realistic look of the virtual car.
