The real issue with "electrics" is that range is half in winter...and never, ever the full cliamed range to begin with. The new Ford F150 is supposed to get 250 miles to a charge, but rarely gets more than 150 in ideal conditions...if you tow something, under 100 miles is usually the mark. That's the real problem. No electric vehicle ever delivers the promised range.

Being disabled I find it amazing seeing all those mechanical wheelchairs people are making to help. That is, until I hear the price.

The track bike looks like a lot of fun until it tips over on your leg.

Neat, a hybrid between a wheelchair, an ATV and a pile of iron oxide.

Given the load on the grid right now the only vehicle I would even think of buying would be a plug in hybrid. I would want some gas in the tank for the sake of range and extra power if I ever thought about putting more than a passenger weight and sized load in it or behind it.

I used to have a Max II six-wheeler that's basically a smaller version of the Mudd-Ox they show here at 4:20, and - MAN - did I love that thing! Drove it all over the woods of southeast Texas, and even crossed a lake with it (a small one). Unfortunately I also ran it full-speed into a pine tree and broke the fiberglass. Always meant to fix it back up, but never did, and then time & the weather finished it off. Fantastic little vehicle, though! That said, just a few years ago they were going for around 8k - only way I'd pay 45k for one is if I won the lottery or something. I don't even pay that for my cars.

The guy who got the Toyota for 45k makes me jealous. Of course, anyone with 45k to spend on a toy makes me jealous...
