Systems Mapping: unpacking complexity and identifying opportunity for change

This video describes systems mapping as an approach to understand complex systems through visualizing actors, processes, structures, and importantly the linkages and relationships between them. While there are several different approaches for mapping systems, this video uses an approach called systemigrams to demonstrate how systems mapping can be used as a retrospective evaluation tool or as a prospective program design tool. In summary, systems mapping helps us visualize and better understand the ever changing environments in which we work to support systems change.
