As historically high inflation rates continue to cause the cost of everything in Canada to rise, politicians are scrambling to throw the blame anywhere they can — except themselves.

It’s a global phenomenon apparently. No wait, it’s Russia’s fault. No no, Canada is actually doing better than other countries.

It’s time for a Reality Check.

On this week’s episode of Reality Check with Jasmine Moulton, Jasmine debunks the government’s top five myths about inflation and uncovers who’s really to blame for the cost of everything increasing.

For years the memes of Powell behind the FED money printer like a machine gun. The BoC admitted they are the reason for the out of control house prices.

The commercial banks buy the bonds from the government and then the Bank of Canada buys the bonds from the commercial banks with "Reserves". The Reserves technically don't enter into circulation, but it allows the commercial banks to insert new money into circulation when they issue new loans (mortgages, credit cards, business loans, etc.). Some of these loans go directly into the stock market in the form of margin loans. That's why the BOC claims they didn't print cash to finance government. Not directly, but indirectly they did.

So the Bank of Canada payed $45 mill in bonuses, the CBC got another $ 45 million to pay their employees bonuses so this is an $ 90 billion increase in these two entities alone, so how much extra money was spend for civil servants and how much increase did politicians get . I bet about half of the $ 328 billion went to bonuses and increases for government entities . Keep in mind all these bonuses and increases went to people who didn't lose their jobs, a lot of them probably most of them worked from home while
employees in the private sector lost their job and might have to take a cut in salary or wages .

Our currency is not from the bank of Canada for many years. We borrow it from international banks. Yes we borrow our own currency as it sits in your pocket or bank account interest is being charged lowering its value, this is the true scam.
