You failed to mention that it was global inflation not just in the US

Key note:
Inflation goes up = everything gets expensive

Inflation goes down = everything stays expensive

Why does everyone seem to blame presidents when it comes to inflation. Isn’t money printing the federal reserves job while congress allocates spending?

I dont like biden but I wish people would stop saying Trump was better because inflation was low when he was president. There are a million factors that caused inflation to go up during Bidens term and I would assume it wouldve been the same when Trump was president. Now im going to guess people will say Trump made inflation go down because theyll see these stats when hes president.

Thank you so much for pointing out that low inflation does not mean prices are decreasing, instead, prices are increasing less. I feel like so many people don't understand that.

The thing is, inflation was 9% but workers in the private sectors didn’t get the 9% raise. That’s the problem

And you will never see the whole picture without looking at inflation rates globally.

I’m glad he didn’t try to pin the inflation on a particular person, just on a very real circumstance that legitimately plagued everyone, and it just so happened to have skyrocketed when one of those people was in office.

Edit: I’m not saying nobody is responsible, I’m saying there are a multitude of factors, both within and outside of presidential hands, and that it wasn’t one *or* the other president, rather both. I’m glad he didn’t take the route of blaming *everything* on one or the other, because there’s more nuance to it than one guy doing all the bad and the other doing all the good.

Important to note that the goal is a 2 percent inflation rate.
This prevents the risk of a accidental deflation.
It also gives insensitives for companies and people to invest rather than just take their earnings and give them out or save them.

Thank you for not just blaming Biden for inflation but giving actual facts

I like that last statement. It’s important to remember, no matter how low inflation get, until it goes negative, everything will still be getting more expensive than it already is….

“It means they’re going up less” I wish people understood that. People think that just because inflation is going down that somehow that means we’re going back to how it was.

Completely misleading. Correlation and causation are different things. Inflation was a global problem and has little to do with Trump's or Biden's administration

The pandemic was the real culprit here. The world is still trying to recover fully.

Biden getting blamed for inflation when it was a global issue. Many countries, including China, wish they handled the economy as well and had such a strong economic recovery as the US. So yes, high cost of living sucks, but remember that it's all a matter of perspective, especially in unprecedented times.

I appreciate someone who actually shows things honestly. It’s not just “under Biden this happened = Trumps better” you actually show why that happened and how it really didn’t have to do with either president

Gotta love that both political sides in the US play the blamegame with this one and their folks just eating it up

You also failed to mention that the return to normal was the fastest in the world.
