When an attacker runs directly into a defender without even paying attention to the ball it isn't a foul. The fact it was a handball before that makes it doubly not a penalty. However, united should have been 3-0 up at half time.

VAR, have gifted westham 3 point, at the expense of man united, even a 5 year old know that is not a penalty.

Michael Oliver has a lot of history against Man.United. PGMOL are not fit for purpose that they let their referees get away with this standard. VAR has several angles to see it and they cannot fairly decide it was a foul. It has to be a dishonest decision and Oliver being the senior ref the onfield ref is screwed and cannot overrule Oliver.

We’ll get bantered as usual and we mostly deserve it but that penalty decision and VAR interference was absolutely a disgrace to football.
Inexcusable

How can they say it’s clear and obvious if it takes more than 5 minutes looking at it to find a foul

Michael Oliver is a known united hater. That pk call was an absolute disgrace. The EPL is the only league that continues to screw up VAR week in and week out.

there has to be money involved in that var decision

Liverpool fan here, and I always like to see Man U lose, but that was not a penalty. Liverpool had a better claim for a penalty against Chelsea last week.

never a penalty and how can something that takes 5 minutes by var and then another 3 minutes by the ref to be classed as a clear and obvious error

I understand that United should’ve finished their chances but we need to take that decision as an isolated incident. It doesn’t matter if you united were ahead or behind that decision should never be a penalty and we all know if the roles were reversed it’s never getting called as a penalty.

Such a corrupt var decision. It's shocking to see when you are watching exactly what a VAR and the ref are looking at it slow motion. You can even clearly see Ings hands on the ball prior to his ridiculous dive before he even got to de ligt.

VAR is never going to be perfect, but it was brought in for correcting clear and obvious errors. If the referee has to look at a replay 20 times, it's not a clear and obvious error. This on top of the VAR decision that led to Bruno's red card against Spurs - a decision that was so wrong that it was later overturned.
