Just wondering how long would a level surface like that last in rainy old England?

No mention of weep holes or any other form of drainage. You can see that they installed weep holes but just did not mention them.

why do you need to use different types of sand when making the cement and concrete? what's the difference in sand?

Didn't say how deep the cement was for the foundation----

A dry stone wall would of looked better it wouldn't needed all the drying time and wouldn't of needed all those paints and chemicals.
