There is a similar instrument in coastal Croatia, it's called diple.

I just heard of the passing of Dimitris Koukas, a maestro of the Tsabouna music of Mykonos. My his memory be eternal.

Issos instr. dance for about the first 2 minutes, then Marouli (song tune), both from Kalymnos island, Dodecanese, Aegean sea, Greece. This particular type of tsambouna is peculiar to Kalymnos. Manolis had long been the only tsambouna player of his generation and below, all the others being old people who passed away one after the other. The instrument, with its whole repertoire and technique, was under a serious threat of disappearing. Now there are a few more young players and apprentices and the threat seems to have been avoided for at least one generation.
They shouldn't call a bagpipe festival "Drone Magic". This bagpipe has no drone, and so do several other types of bagpipe!
