Classic TV Theme: Life Goes On (Stereo)

Показать описание
The first television series to include a major character with Down Syndrome, 'Life Goes On' (1989) won awards from critics, and developed a small but loyal viewership. When it ranked at #75 in the first season ABC could have pulled the plug but they kept renewing the show for a total of four seasons. The last episode included a time jump with an older Becca and some closure regarding what happened in the 25 years that passed. Whether those details will be consistent with the revival series that's in the works remains to be seen. The opening theme is the Beatles' 'Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da' performed by Patti LuPone and the show's cast. (On DVD a new song replaces it on every episode other than the pilot.) The end credits music is by Craig Safan.

I really wish they would either stream this series some place or have a t.v., movie reunion to show us what happened to the characters.

Had a sad moment as an autism mom.. watching some 3 year old on IG read while I’m teaching my tween autistic kid how to tell me when he has to take a piss.
This song came on in my head, and here I am all cheered up 😅
Life goes on!

I remember watching the first season on Sunday nights before going back to work on Mondays. I don't think I watched all the seasons though but can't remember. This was the first time that Kellie Martin came on the scene. Since then she's done so many made for television films.

I remember this show from when I was a kid, but could never remember its name. I do remember Corky, and the bouncy theme song.

The first season actually had Kellie talking, saying "Come on, where are you guys already?!" The first couple of seasons had the window shade fly up by Smitrovich, but we heard him say as he approached the bicycle, "Nah."

And as the title shows up (or during the cold open) in the first season, the words "Stereo Where Available" are seen.

Good work! Was the spiritual successor of NBC's "Our House".
