I felt that same hatred when Jesus opened my eyes to the truth about new age and the occult. I came home and burned all of my tarot cards and demons filled my yard. I then started to pray against them in Jesus name and it vanished…but I felt exactly what you described when I realized the truth and took action to turn from it all. Praise my Heavenly Father!!!! Friendly advice: Back when I used to experience heavy demonic oppression regularly (both before and right after I was saved) I would try to "command" the demons to leave in Jesus's name. It wouldn't seem to work much.

Later, after being saved for maybe 3 months I instead cried out TO Jesus and said, "Lord, your servant is crying to you for help". IMMEDIATELY the demonic oppression went away. Immediately.

I know exactly the heaviness and hatred Jeff was describing. When I was attacked it felt like I was on fire. But God is so good. He saved me and He answers me when I call. That was the last time I experienced oppression to that degree.

The elders once told me if your not running into the devil your running with it. The more I sought Jesus the more I experienced opposition. I thank God for that because it only validated the reality of spiritual war fare that strengthened my faith and will to fight for freedom through salvation and knowledge of Him. Hallelujah He is truly greater. Even in my sleep I'd get attacked and call out to Christ and I would be awoken immediately and this happened several times. Instantly. What started out as an interest and curiosity into the occult became much more for me. I was pulled in, I was literally consumed by darkness. It slowly creeped into and destroyed my life. It caused severe mental health issues. By Gods grace and mercy he saved me and pulled me out, drew me to himself and protected me from it all. I’m a firm believer now in God then I ever was. Everything happens according to Gods will and that experience also. The occult is extremely dangerous and consuming it will destroy.

Actually, I am possessed. Fully possessed by the triune God Father-Son-Holy Spirit who is so much greater than Satan! The devil will try to oppress me with all sorts of evil schemes, but he's already defeated. So rejoicing to hear this good news again and again. I used to go to bob Larsen training classes with my dad as a kid. It was terrifying and so disturbing. I love how in the story of the girl you prayed over that your prayer was NOT directed at the demon. You prayed TO JESUS for help, protection and deliverance. SUCH a big difference. Got our Father will come to rescue his children. He respond when we call out to him for help.

I was a born again christian and would NEVER mess with the occult. But I started reading 'christian books' about demonic possession and exorcisms -- I think one of them was called Hostage To The Devil. I thought I was reading them as a believer so I was safe from the enemy. But then one night I woke up in my pitch black room (no light, because there were no windows in this particular room -- it was the center room in a railway apartment) -- I woke up in the middle of the night and even though I couldn't see anything in the pitch blackness I could 'see' a figure standing right next to bed looking down at me hating me. It's like I could 'see' the outline of this figure standing there with senses other than my eyes -- it was like a black silhouette of even darker blackness against the pitch darkness of the room. So hard to describe. But I knew it was there, real -- not a dream -- and I knew that being standing over me -- right beside my bed -- staring down at me -- I knew it was utterly evil -- demonic -- so I prayed the name of Jesus and it was gone and I got the light on. I knew I had invited that thing into my life -- I had opened the door -- by being TOO INTERESTED in fallen angels. So I stopped reading those books. It was terrifying. A pitch black silhouette against blackness of seething, utter absolute HATRED for me. The fallen angels hate, hate, HATE humans. That's why 'satan worshippers' are going to be in for a big surprise one day.
