Just yesterday I learned my oldest brother had a stroke or heart event, was in the hospital for 4 days and now in a rehab facility. He could have been taken but the Lord spared him which is a real blessing. Dave grew up in the Lord but an event like this I believe opened his eyes to the fact we all are going to die and he has been given a chance to earnestly seek the Lord during his remaining days. Liked your message a lot.

Amazing he now knew he had exactly 15 yrs. Left. Maybe i only have two days left. I will live them for GOD. Thanks pastor for that perspective.

Hezekiah is an interesting study - up to that point when the Lord was going to take him out, a pretty good king. Yes God gave him 2 gifts, the extension, and the exact amount, unusual. He and Israel would have been better off - perhaps he not showing off all the treasury of Israel to foreign visitors would have spared them from being robbed and taken away captive.

We think we know best, we think what we want is good, but had he gotten his house in order who knows how that may have changed history?

This is certainly not the prayer of Christians today facing death

Some bring out their weapons
Some lament they have much work still to do ( when they have done little to the point)
We fast and pray
We seek the latest in medical technology
