OUR STORY SO FAR
We are Ellie and Graham.
We travel the UK in Merlin with our three little dogs, Maya, Luna and Jazz.
We are Wizard in the Wild.
Our love of the great outdoors combined with Ellie’s post-cancer complications means our home on wheels with creature comforts is a perfect solution. A great way to explore nature on good days and a cosy little bolt-hole for the others.
We bought Merlin in 2021 after six years of travel in our motor home Merv.
Whilst we enjoyed our adventures in Merv, we wanted something smaller and more nimble, so we could explore those tucked away places off the beaten track. Hence Merlin.
Initially we only used campsites, but as time goes on we are going off-grid more regularly and really loving it.
The aim of the channel is to reveal the true beauty of nature whatever the weather! We also feel it’s important to show the reality of van life, and not just the good bits when the sun is shining.
Whatever the weather, our motto is to just get out in nature. It’s good for the soul!

Welcome back, a lovely stop over on the start of your trip. You can't beat a nice stroll along a canal. I know what you mean re sleep in the van but have found the new van and beds wonderful. Happy onwards travels and who know who and what you will see. Won't mention the carrot 😂😂

Penkridge is a childhood memory unlocked, there was/is a popular market there which everyone from the local area visited (I grew up 10 miles away) I know you much prefer the complete off grid/free park up but this is more us for safety really, that said the lack of pub isn’t drawing me there 😂 we do like a canalside stop though, good to see you back (Jazz is so much like Poppy “talking” although I think Jazz is a bit louder!)

Its great to see you back. ❤❤❤❤❤. I am so tired today one of my 2 dogs kept me awake until 2am last night, she just kept crying and trying to dig her way through my bedroom door. I had taken my paracetamol ( I take one most nights otherwise my bad back doesnt allow me to walk next day). The problem is im weak and painkillers tend to knock me out even though I just take one. I swap and change for two weeks i take one paracetamol and then the next 2 weeks i have Ibruprofen. Xx
