RTX A2000 with a 3060 BIOS so you cak unlock the voltage and get consistent clock speeds. Sure it might brick the card, but we have people to test that for us.

I read about this yesterday. Nvidia added this security feature (codenamed Falcon) back in the GeForce 900 series, and it's been in every card since then.

The reason why it's so risky to mess with your gpu bios in this manner is because there's no failsafe if you do something wrong (like xtu and motherboards reverting your system back to the last stable point).

It's amazing that there are two programs that let you add performance to a gpu. However, the risk of bricking your $500+ gpu outweighs the extra performance you can get for most gamers out there.

I have a msi ventus 3070 and I flashed the bios for a strix 3070 which allowed me to increase the power limit further.

I wouldn’t say I recommend doing this but I was able to gain more performance than with the original bios.

I break my mobile device when trying to do custom ROM experiments.
I successfully installed the custom but when I rolled back to stock ROM the device break . But I visited the service center they flash the ROM and now I am typing the comment from it.

I wonder if this can make re-clocking using the open-source Nouveau driver work properly. If so would be a 5-20x speedup! Or even an open-source Coreboot graphics init!

TL DR: This feature is only good for people that know what they're doing because there's no failsafe in the event of a crash.
