I’m from New York City and remember when this hit came out on WMCA 1963 was an absolutely great year for music. So many groups who made hits that will live forever in our lives. Motown, other genres. It’s funny how so many young people listen to our songs. Great song…Great times.

This is one of the greatest 60s song of all time, imo. I was 10 years old at the time of its release and loved it from the moment I heard it and still do 50 years later. Timeless classic.

This reminds me of my late brother, who was the best looking guy I have ever known. I can still remember him walking around the house singing this song. Unfortunately, he died young.

I had a crush on a girl named Evelyn, but I was too shy to let her know. I'd listen to this song which was big at the time, and think about her. I never did let her know, but this certainly does bring back memories..

I had no doubt that she was waiting at home. I was going to a data link school 400 miles away but came home every weekend and we spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights in each others arms. Now 56 years later after we got married when she was 17 and I was 22 and she has followed me around the world thanks to over 20 years in the Air Force. .
