In British English a common slang for toilet is “the loo”, and faucets are called taps. In old pubs and restaurants the toilet may be marked as the WC (water closet).

You have no idea how useful your videos are!! I simply have no one to ask to and openning a dictionary may give you words no one really uses nowadays.

Hi, Rachel! Happy Sunday! Hope all is well. Thanks for this shorts video -- very useful indeed! Is there any way you could possibly tell me if a shower curtain is more common than a sliding glass shower door in the US, please? The reason I'm asking you this is because a glass shower door seems to be more present in Brazil's average household bathrooms, as opposed to shower curtains. I'd be pleased to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks so much, and I hope you have a wonderful and very productive upcoming week! Stay safe and stay well. Best wishes! :)

Thanks for this quick, but full of useful vocab, Rachel! Question: How do I call the "bathroom" in an office? Restroom, too?
