Thank you for this man! We just got 3 new Hypot testers in. All our old ones were Hypot III... and they were all set up for ACW... Now I am trying to set 2 up for D.C. but going from 1200 ac to 1200dc I keep getting a fault..

thank you, have a question I hope it finds you. when testing caps can you go over the rated voltage of the cap?
also I read somewhere that DC voltage coupe destructive and can damage cables. is this correct?
