Ex Culver’s employee. They make everything to order. Nothing sits, except maybe the fries in the warmer tray. The fish is so good for religious reasons. Fish is the go to during lent. The noodles in the chicken noodle are more akin to grandma style of cutting strips of dough. ALSO, you didn’t get fried chicken! They deep fry it and it takes like 10+ minutes. Mashed potatoes and gravy too.

For anyone watching this that hasn’t been to a Culver’s, the really nice employees are not putting on a show for the cameras. Every Culver’s I’ve been to have the KINDEST employees, so well mannered! My #1 “fast” food place by far.

I am a born-and-raised Chicagoan who also lived in Wisconsin for 4 years - Culver's is absolutely a midwestern staple. I have been patiently hoping you two would one day try Culver's. This video brought me so much joy. <3

I worked at Culver’s in the kitchen for 2 years. I can say that it is fresh fish that Culver’s batters and fries themselves. It’s not an already fried frozen fish reheated. The burgers are also not frozen patties reheated. It is fresh ground beef smashed and grill fresh per order. And none of the food is made hours in advance and sitting under a heat lap. It’s all made to order.

My midwestern grandma passed away about a year ago, and this WAS in fact her favorite diner 😂❤ She would go with my dad (her son) all the time, and occasionally me. My dad & I have kept the tradition going by meeting at Culver's once a month 😊❤ This video made me smile a lot.

One of the things I love most about you guys is how broad your food content is. One minute we are getting Gordon Ramsey's first restaurant and the next we are slamming cheese curds at Cluvers.

so I worked for a culvers for a while. The reason the concrete mixer comes with a spoon is because it's basically blended custard. The difference between ordering a concrete mixer and a shake is that a shake is thinner and can be drank with a straw, while a concrete mixer really relies on your toppings being blended into a homogeneous new concoction. Also, I personally prefer the Deluxe Butterburger over a Butterburger with the Works. The Works is ketchup+mustard+onion+pickle, while the Deluxe is mayo, pickle, onion, lettuce, and tomato. Personally I remove the tomato and swap the raw onion for grilled onions, but it's extremely modular. The Cod Fillet is cooked to order, with raw fish defrosted days beforehand and kept cooled until shift starts. Floured...battered...then placed into it's own separate bay of the fryer for about 5 minutes. The Cod is a standout because Culvers really cares about quality...so the cod and the burgers are almost always gonna be A++. As for the curds, they're great because they're literally just balls of cheddar battered and fried. like the french fries, they come in pre-frozen and thaw+cook in the frier. Pre-packaged sleeves means you get pretty much the same proportions everytime.

As mentioned below, Culver's is a chain started in Wisconsin. In addition to dairy/cheese/beer, Wisconsin is also known for having a "fish fry" on Fridays. Almost every restaurant in Wisconsin has some version of fried fish available on their menu on Fridays . Culver's just made it available every day of the week. During Lent, they have cod as well as Walleye available. Fresh Walleye is by far one of the best tasing things on this planet.

As a midwesterner I very much appreciate the variety on the Culver's menu because your wants out of a meal may change with the sudden drastic temperature shifts if you're not a picky eater. Almost any time of year or day as long as it's open Culver's has something to perfectly fit the weather. If it's hot get some tendies or fish and some form of custard, if it's cold get a bulky burger and some pretzel bites or chili

I moved to the Midwest several years ago from New England and had never heard of Culver’s prior. They’re fast food’s best kept secret.

fun facts from a lifelong Wisconsinite and former Culver's employee! depending on when you were there you could've chosen walleye instead of cod. all those custard pints in that freezer were made in the restaurant, because that's what they do with "leftovers" from previous "Flavor of the Day"s.
