Wow I never expected to see a Burger King and McDonalds on Phi Phi. I first went there back in 2016 and for a second time the following year.

I've been to Phi Phi many times but I get claustrophobic watching how crowded it is now.

Wow, can’t believe Phi Phi has changed so much!
I was therefor 10 days back in the early 90’s, all they got was A Frame accommodations right or close to the beach. The shops were wooden shacks…
So sad over tourism has ruined this island!

I guess it used to be beautiful 20 years ago, but now there are too many people, buildings, boats, hawkers etc. Tourist trap.

Just left KPP yesterday. First thing you see when you arrive is a Burger King right next to a McDonald's. I was there a few months before the tsunami hit in 2004 and I can tell you they've ruined it.

Pretty cool when I went 25 years ago but now it looks absolutely HIDEOUS!
