Inaugural Lecture Prof. dr. Jur ten Berg

hoogleraar "Antithrombotic therapy in cardiac interventions" in de Faculteit Health, Medicine and Life Sciences zal aanvaarden.

The title of the lecture: ‘Met alleen een hartinterventie bent u er nog niet’

Dr Jurriën ten Berg has been appointed as personal professor “Antithrombotic Therapy in Cardiac Catheter Interventions”. His research has been focused on optimal antithrombotic therapy in patients undergoing coronary and valve interventions i.e. PCI with stenting, TAVI, LA appendage closure and ASD/PFO closure. His publications on personalized medicine in the field of antiplatelet therapy in TAVI and pharmacogenomics in PCI have changed international guidelines. “My ambition is to improve research in this field by combining the strength of fundamental research of CARIM and the renowned clinical implementation skills of the St. Antonius Hospital where I am an interventional cardiologist”. “It is fantastic to experience many new ideas for research from new colleagues at MUMC and CARIM”

Symposium & Inaugural Lecture

You are cordially invited to the inaugural lecture titled “Met een hartinterventie alleen, zijn we er nog niet”, which will take place at Friday 15 March at 16.30 hrs at the Minderbroedersberg 4-6 in Maastricht. Prior to the inaugural lecture, there will be a symposium focused on antithrombotic therapy in PCI (STEMI) and TAVI.
