Can This Upgrade Change My Opinion?

The testing continues! Motion recently sent me a new damper with built in top out bumpers and new valving for my riding.

I headed to my local trails at Cathkin to see what difference (if any) it made, can they change my opinion from my last video?

Its good to see that they are so responsive to feedback. The bunnyhopping issue could be a problem although as you said that you were able to bunnyhop, maybe just not as easily. I'm not sure how often the average rider is bunnyhopping around, most of the time I imagine having a super planted, active fork would be more important than being able to jibb and hop around.

Price is an issue of course but the more they sell, the cheaper they will become and who knows maybe in ten years time we'll all be riding linkage forks.

i think a lockout switch would definitely be great, maybe a semi-lockout too? (yes, a three-way lockout switch, and this would just make them half as active and hopefully improve the trials riding capability of the forks)

Great video and review! Thanks Ali. I thoroughly agree with the top out on the new damper. It's not even noticeable compared to the last iteration. Props to Motion for continuing to upgrade and refine their product based on rider feedback. As a heavier rider I really feel the need for a stiffer spring, which, rumor has it, will be coming out by the end of the year or so.

The most comprehensive review of this fork, thank you. Questions please (if you know): 1) does this damper change get included with production forks moving forward? 2) did they improve the cable management? I believe I saw zip ties used without actual mounting points which seems a bit odd for the cost of this fork. 3) they now have full bearings instead of bushings from factory? 4) do the bearings still adhere to the zero maintenance philosophy? 5) what is the warranty?
