Travel improves this afternoon. First Alert Days are on tap for the next 9 of 10 days for the Arctic cold set to grip the region.
A FIRST ALERT DAY will continue this morning for dangerous and hazardous travel. Temperatures will tumble into the teens and wind chills will be near zero. A brief passing snow shower, otherwise there will be mixed clouds and some sun into the afternoon with highs into the low 20s.
Highs will be near 20 degrees on Saturday. FIRST ALERT Days return Sunday through all of next week as bitterly cold weather grips the area. Snow accumulations will be possible Monday and into Tuesday.
