My videos are educational. I do not offer financial advice. I do not receive or accept direct payment for my content. If you view my videos as investment advice you will probably lose all your money... so do your own research before making investment decisions!

I am a value investor, searching for undervalued stocks. I look for securities with prices that are unjustifiably low based on intrinsic worth, estimated by analyzing an issuer's fundamentals.

I do not support the efficient market hypothesis. This suggests that stocks always trade at their fair value, making it harder for investors to either buy stocks that are undervalued, or sell them at inflated prices. I believe the market will eventually favor quality stocks that were undervalued. I am not really concerned with the activities of the stock market, although I "watch" market activity all the time.

I'm not in IEP but I enjoyed the information more than I logically should have.

I looked at $IEP 4-6 months ago, and didn't understand the consistently high dividend, better than midstream oil, seemingly without risk. Fearing a ponzi, I passed.

Great vid. Buffett prefers to be passive but he is active at times & ruthless (see Buffalo News). Imho he has made clear to Ms Holub his expectations for capital allocation, akin to his mentoring of Kay Graham at Wash Post. He cares as much or more for his investments as Icahn.

Dear Mr. Bester, Thank you for your kind review of $IEP, and your calm countenance. I sold my position sometime after you announced that you had. All of this makes me want to go back and study how to read the character of leaders... as signs are present but sometimes hard to detect. Anyway, I was wondering if you might look at what Cleveland Cliffs ($CLF) is up to, having just announced it wants to buy US Steel. Would it be a good investment to invest in MAGA... its industrial-energy sectors... which would be involved in modernizing industrial America?

With is everyone’s thoughts now on this position? Trading at $16.41 as we speak here today, a 24.4% dividend yield. Assuming they do not cut or increase the divi and just re-affirm, should we head back to $25 and eventually may increase the divi again? I like the stock between $16 to $20 if they continue to pay at least $4 a year and clean up the mess.

Hi Rudy, great listening to your "update" on IEP. Happy again I got out with a 3% profit before the short news. Your always much more informative generally than the specific title your commenting on. We'll stop by soon to see you and yours. Peace....

Yeah, I thought ichan would respond to the allegations and do a buy back, so I have a position at 30$, plus the div was good so I could just wait as well. The div cut really made it less attractive to hold, so I guess i try to sell after next div. I do wonder if his illumnia investment will pay off, that might generate some cash for mr Ichan.
