I bought my 2012 LX new and have almost 400 thousand km's on it now . Zero issues other than routine maintenance. Great reliable commuter car

I bought my 2012 Honda Civic LX brand new in 2012. Besides some occasional issues with starting I have essentially replaced tires and brake pads. It has 300k miles on it right now. Its been a great car, which I drive 74 miles each way to work for 9 years. Id buy another Civic

I used to own a 2012 civic. At first I was upset with how Honda cheaped out on this model but over time you just get used to it and appreciated it’s reliability. I miss that car a lot actually, but It got totaled.

I have 196k miles on my 2012 Civic LX right now. Should be at 200k in just a few motlnths now. Just got done a 2k mile road trip and its still running great! I was able to get 42+ mpg average with the ac running. Very happy!

My only real complaint with this car in nearly 120K miles is the road noise. It's awful. The split gauge cluster never got the respect it deserved.

That split gauge cluster looks cool and futuristic. It's no weirder than a Prius. All of its competition was also dull and Consumer Reports is for old people. Cheap to run, cheap to fix, and comfortable and reliable as long as you don't try to make an economy car fast. In 30 years (assuming we're still allowed to own cars) I could see these being semi-collectible because so many of them get riced and wrecked or just used up as daily transportation.

I'm extremely happy with this model other than oil and filter changes nothing else needed, I think this is the most reliable model of all of them no issue whatsoever.

I've had mine for 5 years. I cracked the oil pan a few years ago, and overnight all the oil leaked out into the driveway. It drove about a mile before engaging an emergency shutoff. Fixed the oil pan, filled it up again and it ran like new.
Earlier this year I completely hydrolocked it driving through some deep water (I'll never make that mistake again haha). I feared the worst, but after gapping the spark plugs, ejecting all the water from the cylinders and flushing the oil 3x, it fired up without a problem. Still runs and drives like new. It's an unbelievably reliable car if you're good to it and give it the love it deserves. Great video!

2013 they also added reflectors in the rear bumper, my Dad has the 2012 and its great on gas and even better average mpg when i get to use it. I really like the buttons on the steering wheel for the radio and cruise control

i love my 12' civic ex, 2, 900 miles on it when bought, it has taken me everywhere and never missed a beat... 189, 000 miles, it almost went to Canada for the third time(i'im new mexico) but we took a equity loan out and bought me a Mazda CX5, anyway i got 40.1 miles to the gallon early in its career, all miles... not just highway, i was very impressed, you will not make a mistake buying this car, it went everywhere, Dallas 5 times, San francisco 2 times, Seattle 4, Knoxville 1 time, Denver 3 times, sadly i'm selling it now ... i dont think i will ever find a more reliable car than this one

It looks pretty good, a solid A-B car. Interior is too bright for me but that is preference. I like it. Plus it's a Honda so it's reliable as hell.

Proud owner of a 2012 honda civix 2012. This vehicle have 5 out of 5 star which is excellent in reliability. No problems at all just oil changes. Avoid the cvt transmission at all cost. Go with 2012 or 2013 honda civic

I bought a white 2012 Civic EX sedan in 2019 to do rideshare driving. I'm happy with it. It won't beat a Dodge Hellcat, Camaro, Mustang or BMW but it is peppy enough to make swift moves in traffic. The car is still a thrill on twisty turning roads. The only thing I would change is to paint it the color of the model in this video. The 1995 Eagle Talon I had for 19 years from new was painted a blue that was similar to the above car.
