This is kinda selfish to keep her alive when doctors are telling them she is brain dead I would have let her go in peace and not suffer anymore

Being brain dead and being in a coma are not the same. People wake up from comas, people don't come back from being brain dead

This is so sad! I remember reading about her....she was afraid of having a tonsillectomy, but they made her have one anyway because she had sleep apnea or something. Unfortunately her worst fears came true :'(.

First off instead of invasive surgery to correct her sleep apnea they should have had her lose weight. Second, when you're told not to feed someone solid food post-op DONT FEED THEM A BURGER. She was there for surgery because she was 14 years old and so morbidly obese she had developed sleep Apnea the last thing she needed was a cheeseburger from McDonald's.

I went through this with my ONLY brother, so I know what I'm talking about. After the doctor told me my brother was brain dead; for about 4 weeks I held on to his corpse. My brother made the same instinctive movements as Little Jahi.

After I fast and prayed about it, I darn near lost my mind, it came to me to remove him off life support and if he continues to breathe on his own, then it's God's will and if not, then it's still God's will. God gives and takes lives not man, nor a machine.

I signed the paperwork and my brother stop breathing after 48 hours.

If her mother had her connected to machines, then the poor baby was NOT ALIVE, she was only existing.

As a parent, I can't imagine losing my young child...but keeping a brain dead child "alive" is taking it too far. The parents wanted so badly to believe she was still alive that they ignored proven medical science. and selfishly kept her on machines for FIVE LONG YEARS.

But to keep someone alive like this was totally wrong. I've had to say goodbye to my fiance in a similar situation. We kept him alive for three days... I'm glad we didn't keep him going like this.

Sad she's still fighting after what happen to her child. The wheels of justice turn Soo slow for less fortunate people. I pray they rule in her favor, Lord knows her and her family has been through enough.
