I recently purchased some L Style from A-Z and I love them. Your videos are super educational. They still occasionally pop off that cap on a drop or hit, but its significantly less like 0-2 times per session so far. It seemed obvious once I realized it but the weight and flight size combination really makes a difference.

been playing darts for a year and just recently won our office' mens singles tournament using a no 2 aspinall flight from target paired with a ruthless ranger 2 dart. this video really explained well my initial struggles as i have a soft grip soft release, low power but high arcing shot that gets wobbly when i use the smaller flights

Very intuitive video ! Great work. For players who want to add more weight on the back of the darts can use foldable flights with heavier stem. 1 piece system molded flight weighs abt 1.5~1.8g depending on size. But with heavier stem (abt 1.5~2.7g) and foldable flights (abt 0.3~0.7g), you can get it over 2.0g easily and if you need more you can add flight protectors.

I'm coming back from a 15 year pause and recently grabbed a set of L-style flights and carbon fiber shafts after seeing your videos and some professional players using molded flights systems themselves. Absolutely loving this solution as they basically nullified the chance of robinhoods and the need to reshape the flight every few throws. The carbon fiber shafts might be pricy but they are super durable and lightweight (I feared I might break them when I unpacked them, haha). I had a few bounce outs and the shafts stayed intact, even on hard floors. Might want to use rubber rings as they unscrew quite easily without.
I've done about 3000 throws so far and they still look brand new. Once you know which flight shape fits you best, I'd say they become a must-have.

Great video, great information. I like a 75micron feels like a kite or no6 but gives me the higher angle of entry I need for steel tip.

Molded flight sets are just superior. They hold their shape. They don’t pop off. They give you less to think about. There’s so many lengths and flight shapes and sizes. I’ve only recently had one of mine somewhat “break” but it was after using it for 2 years. And I actually still use it on a home set, just not my match darts.

Jen, nice video cover. It's probably the best flight video out there.. I play with both and depends on dart and weight. I play folded with no rings as I encourage the flight to kick off. Good example, like in video as of tight fit to shaft will bounce out.

Im pretty new and put some K-Flex no 2 on my darts, found them entering very flat even tail down at times, swapped to cuesoul big wing and its made a decent difference, the arc is definitely better, im sure theres still lots of throw variance but i was amazed how much better it felt with the change

When I bought my first set of darts I also bought a set of molden flights (Qmax fenix). While I do love the fact that I don't have to fumble back in those lost flights I realize that they do tend to deflect quite a lot of throws since the material is really hard. Also after a lot of wear and tear I realized that they are swaying the the air for some reason. Maybe its my technique or it really is the flight, but after switching back to the cheap foldable ones I was able to throw my first 180. I dunno how professional are never losing their flights, because for my 180 2 flights had to pop off.

If I ever go back to a molden flight system I will check out the hardness of the material first. Hard plastic feels like someone is smacking my dart away mid-flight.

Targets K-Flex are my go to. But the Condor Tri-Fin is something I'm interested to try out.
