Then the host said the same (to support Zhenya): nobody won, everyone is winner. And only then Alina said there are actually winners! *Zhenya interrupts by saying ‘in both teams’* Alina took a pause. Then Alina continued: ‘thanks to the team of Zhenya for the beautiful competition, all skaters were very strong, but today our team was more lucky’. That’s what she said. I think Zhenya needs to learn how to accept failures and how to behave correctly in front of the public. This was disrespectful toward her own team, Alina and fans.

Zhenya was aggressive from the beginning. saying she is not accepting the loss. she was complaining on her team members who are nor as good as Alinas. in spite of the fact that she had best couples and men. and also was unpolite saying the the public selected her team because they know who is the best. Alina was really patient and supported and defended all participants and only at the end closed the issue saying that the winner is there. Poor Zhenya. Her olympic games loss will always hurt her and makes he uncontroll such rude behavior from her side.

Regardless of whatever happened here, I felt awful for Maiia. She’s 14!!! I hope she knows she’s loved and continues pushing and prove everyone wrong in years to come. Filling Aliona’s shoes is hard as is, but knowing where she stands ability-wise currently, AND being on a televised event adds so much more pressure. I’d say her fighting spirit was probably among the strongest that day with how she still went for that 4T after falling in the FS.

Both girls are probably getting war flashbacks; Zhenya with her Olympic/Channel1 win not happening at the last minute (she was leading up until the ladies comp) and Alina with people trying to invalidate her Olympic/Channel1 win (Zhenya was definitely the fan favorite during the Olympics). I feel bad for both, but this might explain why each acted the way they did. Wishing both talented athletes the best.
