I have just purchased the CD box set after streaming it a lot on YTM, it's an amazing album and is now in my top 5 Elvis albums. I am looking forward to listening to it later on my high quality Sony headphones. Love this review ED.

I washed my hands in muddy water is totally awesome. I crank this album up and everybody who hears it loves it and are going out and buying it. This album is gonna put Elvis back on top in my opinion. Again great album.

Elvis was at his best fifties and early sixties and from 68 to 70 physically and vocally this is a fantastic set

I just love the CDs it's the best work that's done to date in my opinion, (the sound) like you've said it's like you're there in the studio I'm glad they have taken the time to do this properly even though it's a little late.

Hi Ed,
I love this box set.
And yes I too can hear the overdubs in my head on some of the tracks, including Heart of Rome and If I Were You.
It’s well worth the money.

Excellent review. Hard not to be excited about this release. I agree Elvis is at the top of his game here. The Elvis Is Back sessions are fun to listen to. Looking forward to Something For Everybody sessions. American Sound Studio Sessions also available at Graceland store again. The boxes all line up. Stax 3 CD is harder to find. The book with the A Boy From Tupelo 3 CD set is awesome!

One of the best sets Legacy have released.Much prefer it this way than take after take of the same song back to back.
Love the hard rocking Patch It Up wouldn't mind hearing it with just the backing vocals added

Great description! Just bought it and will be listening to it on a road trip tomorrow. If there was only video from the Jungle Room sessions, that would be the gold! There were cameras for the engineer to watch in the outside truck.

Ed, somehow I missed this review, but it’s gr8 as usual. I too, when listening to these songs growing up, when I hear the undubbed mixes, in my head, I still hear everything I grew up listening to !!! LOL
