It is just heartbreaking to not see any women in the streets, the markets, the parks, the restaurants, the hill tops….etc. just locked away and shut out from life. Never to be outside properly feeling the sun or wind on their faces, singing or talking out loud, nurturing or fulfilling their minds and souls through education and learning or being able to work and earn their own money. A female tourist can experience all the things a man can in a country where their own women cannot. I can’t understand it and It is just heart shattering and I can’t begin to imagine what these women are going through inside. I do pray for them, that one day this will all change and they will be free to live life with the same freedoms. I wish and hope for all these women to know how special, important and worthy they all are 💖

Seeing the pool made my blood run cold, before you even said anything. I’d seen it before, but something about being a (fellow!) ginger lady made it very relatable. They are such lovely people. You are an incredible representative for England, and travelers of all origins, really. 💕

Beautiful country and people. The fact that women cannot climb to the top of a hill to enjoy the sunset is simply tragic.

As a woman I can’t tell you how sad I feel for these women. And I have to be honest I get a bit frustrated with the people who proudly boast about Afghanistan. I am sure most of those comments are men. I often wonder how women in the west say we are fighting for equality in the west. Then you look at places like these and you realize we women in the west have it really good. There is nothing that a man can do that I cannot do. We are free. And these women don’t realize they are trapped like the birds in the cages.
