Is Jesus preparing a place in heaven for all believers or just the apostles? Does Jesus give the Helper to all believers or just the apostles? Will the world hate all servants of Christ or just the apostles? Does the Father love all believers or just the apostles? Looking at the context of John14-16, I apply statement after statement given by Christ to all who follow as His disciples, starting with the original disciples and continuing until His Second Coming. I don't believe I am chosen because it is some Calvinistic buzz word, but I believe that I am chosen in Christ because in the same way that Jesus is preparing a place for His bride, sending His Holy Spirit to His bride, and loving His bride -- I also believe Jesus chose His bride as taught in John 15. If I limit John 15:15-16 to the apostles, I need to limit all the other promises and warnings in this teaching to them as well. This is exegesis in context. Your video jumped all over the NT but rarely mentioned the context of John 14-16.

Calvinism is like a Narcissistic view on the bible.

Calvinists select a word like
" chosen, " and apply ONE definition, their definition, and then apply that definition to all verses that uses that word.
They absolutely disregard context that would clarify who is being spoken to and the specific topic being addressed.
Thompson, in another video, makes such a good point that scripture is written to all, but not for. Everything in scripture is NOT about me. Context matters.
