I lived in Calgary for a few years and i can confirm some places i seen were so close you could almost pass a roll of butt paper next door if he / she was out. I have lived in a lot of places in Canada but i noticed this right away for the price you pay for a house in that city.

And what will happen is instead of a 500, 000 home being built on a lot, the home builders will build a 4 plex on the lot and sell each of them for 500, 000 for a total of 2, 000, 000. How exactly will this benefit the home buyer? All this will do is give the home builders a huge increase in their profits. Guess who are the largest contributors to municipal politicians election funds, you got it.

I don't think the issue is that the Middle Class can't FIND a single family home... it's that they can't afford one. Which is why multi-family housing is taking off.
