Great list Heather!
#7 and other questions like it can often be mitigated with a bit of humor.
I answer "What is your greatest weakness?" with one word. "Chocolate." Pause for a moment. Smile. (They are also smiling at this point, usually) then proceed with my actual answer. That small pause gives your brain all the time it needs to adapt your prepared answer to that specific person or persons in that specific interview.

just out of college i was at an interview and jet lagged. He asked me a question with a HUGE word i had no clue the definition?? it was a vague question and i pretended to know the answer...DUH, now that I am older i would simply ask for clarification but then i did not and did not get the job! Lesson learned

How can I best answer this job interview question: "Tell me a time you made a mistake? How did you communicate that mistake?" How can I answer this question without worrying about prior mistakes I made in the workplace? This is a challenging question to answer.

Top notch ! Super insightful 🎯
Heather what would be the best way to tackle my situation - i am a Hvac design engineer in Aec construction industry after completing my internship in 2019 i was out of work due to family reasons helping mom at home. So how to get a job now after a big career gap of 4 yrs ? Does being too honest work or any others ways of directly cold call or cold email work instead of posting resumes on various job sites.. how should i develop self belief & conquer the challenges in these testing times.. Your book recommendations are awesome could you recommend here some about this situation...
