This all sounded great, and sold me on the creation space screwdriver. I bought one and I was highly disappointed when it couldn't be used as a screwdriver. This video definitely leads you to believe that the motor, or some mechanism will lock when the driver isn't being powered. It doesn't. You can apply a little bit of torque, but very little. Certainly not enough to tighten things reasonably. I thought maybe mine was defective, but I contacted the company I bought it from and they told me that it isn't meant to be used as an unpowered driver and I should have a second screwdriver on hand for that. Funny, since it has the swiveling end-piece and everything about it screams that it's made for that, but no, it isn't. Sad. That one change would have made it the perfect driver. It wasn't very strong, but it was strong enough if you could loosen and finish tightening manually. It wasn't as fast as some others either. Missed opportunity. So much was right.

one note for xiaomi (have one, just had to do servis and replace gears).
1. tips are 3.95mm and most others are 4.00mm so you can't use other bits in side it. (most of the time)
2. it for low tork use. i was pushing my and striped some gears inside.
3. it can be fix. but you will have to break some plastic clips holding the parts (not a big deal, it's still usable)

Absolutely the removable batt is GREAT concept. Use tool while charging your spare batt. of course!

they already got rid of it from the website for the creation space model so iam guessing to may problems which is the norm for them

I've been looking at the Vessel electric screwdriver, they have a highspeed version (with low torque) that would be great for electronic assembly, it has a high torque clutch for tightening by hand after you drive the screw in. I'm just on the fence about dropping ~$70 on it
