Most people don’t realize that until a kid turns 18, parents can exploit their kids through show biz and take basically every cent they make for themselves. Only in a few states and countries are you required to put a portion of their earnings into an account for them, but they still won’t have access to that until they’re 18. It’s all too common and these kids deserve far far better. They deserve to just be kids.

Rates of children homeless in the UK are truly horrific. The shittiest thing is it's not talked about in media, you won't know about it until you physically move there and talk with people who experience it first hand, and I only talked with people who got out of it and got help. I have no idea how many just died on the streets

Funny that! How social services will kick their heels not really help because they know someone is nearly 18 and will have to go through adult services when they hit 18. But because they get called out and blasted on instagram/utube/tiktok all of a sudden they help... I'm glad he's getting the help he needs and good for him for shining a light on the double standards and red tape of those organisations.

I wrote a paper in university about the foster care system in the UK and it’s absolutely god-awful. It’s actually one of the things that has stayed with me after my studies. I have no doubts that the two situations for homeless youth in the UK are linked. it might not apply to his situation but I hope it really does get better. I saw a video where he stated that social services had reached out to him and was helping him.

I hope some of his adult costars can step up especially if they seen or heard anything sus with the parents. Wishing that kid the best being 17/a young adult can be hard enough as is

Tragic and sickening his parents used him and threw him aside. I know he won’t see this but maybe if he does, you’re worth more than you’ll ever know or feel. And I hope someday soon you’ll meet people who will make that feeling known to you ❤

What’s worse is when the original video was reposted somewhere online, most of the comment section immediately thought that it was due to substance abuse (crack).

While their concerns aren’t unjustified, that type of initial assumption is what prevents people from actually receiving the care they need to get back on their feet (and, you know, *COMBAT HOMELESSNESS* ?!).

I wish Drew Barrymoore, Justin Bieber, and more childhood stars would come together to get a law passed so this could stop happening to young talent. More laws need to be passed to stop child trafficking and abuse.

It's so sad that agencies and people need to be called out on some kind of media platform to do their f*cking jobs.
Also, the "what happened to all of your money?" Argument pisses me off to no end because EVERYONE knows who the money goes to when a child actor gets paid. If the kid has no money, it's because the parents/guardians STOLE it all from them.

Also just a reminder that even if he did have access to millions of dollars, he isn't old enough to sign a lease or do a lot of things adults can do. He can't rent a car, he will have issues getting a bank account that isn't co-signed, etc. Social services probably see he makes a lot of money and ignore that he probably cannot even use it.
