I love dogs but i know islamically i can't keep them as pets. What i really hate is the ignorant mentality of some south asian people who mistreat dogs and hate them. Remember Allah created every living thing!

This one warmed my heart. My father was a veterinarian, and his clinic was in the building next to our house. Because of that, I got to spend a lot of time around various kinds of animals. I also got to see more animals in pain than I imagine most people get to see up close. I've always enjoyed watching nature shows and documentaries, so that imagery has a very visceral quality for me, unfortunately.

Ah well, justice will happen one day. We all seem to demand it in some form.

1. Performing your mandatory salah, this

2. Performing thikr, it doesnt need to be
     alot, just a little bit every day goes a
     long way. Eg. AllahuAkbar,
     Subhanallah and Alhamdulilah.
3. Sending salawaat upon the holy  
     prophet Muhammad(SAW), such as
     reciting Durood Ibrahim
4. Try to your best to be an honest
     person, no matter what.
5. Give charity if you have the means to
     do so.
6. Help somebody or aim to make a
    fellow muslim happy, with the correct    
    intention this calls for a great reward.
7. Avoid gossip and false accusations as
     well as avoiding backbiting.
8. Always respect and be kind towards
     your parents, remember that you will
     never be able to repay them for what
     they did for you.

● May Allah, the most glorious, always 
     keep our intentions pure and protect
     us from kibr. Allah knows best.

May be it is a test from Allah. Dogs are Allah s one of the most beautiful creation, intelligent, loving, compassionate and caring etc still Allah wants to test us our obedience to him. Allah knows the best

Prophet Muhammad (salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) was always cheerful, gentle and kind. He was called Al-Amin (The Trustworthy) even by his enemies. When it came to giving charity, he would put a king to shame. Such a wonderful man!

I live in West Sumatra (Padang), where the custom/tradition here is based on Islamic law, ADAT BASANDI SYARAK, SYARAK BASANDI KITABULLAH "TRADITION WITH SHARIA, SHARIA WITH KITABULLAH" everyone in the village keeps dogs to hunt wild boars and protect rice fields and plantations from wild boar attacks

Can I know the reference for the hadhees which says allah would deduct good deeds from a person who has a dogs.

To all the people struggling to smile today, hold on. It gets better. Allah promised He is with the patient. What is coming is better than what has gone. Stay strong.

Make dua. Even if you think everything has been decided and nothing can be done. We are incapable of understanding how Allah handles our matters and a sincere dua goes a long way.
