Not moonshine, moonshine is distilled. Fermented alcohol is perfectly legal to make.

That milk is fermented, which isnt moonshine. Moonshine is distilled spirits, most commonly made from fermented fruits and corn called "Mash". The solids are separated from the liquids, the liquids are then boiled, water and alcohol is separated, and the end product is a slightly flavored vodka like drink with a VERY high proof. Distilling is illegal in the US without the right paperwork. Brewing isnt, you can make up to 100 gallons of brewed drinks per year, from what I know.

Im not a professional, and the distilling process that I described is a very condensed and probably inaccurate description of making distilled spirits.

Yeah it’s actually incredibly easy to make alcohol, yeast plus sugar plus time equals alcohol
And yes, when you make bread alcohol is a byproduct but it just evaporates when you cook it
