The Other Side [TADC Animatic]

Here it is, folks!! This one took me a month to complete if you can believe it! The next entry from me for the Greatest Travelling Circus AU!! A look into how Jax got into the circus in the first place...

Thing is Caine has a few different approaches. Some circus members, like Pomni, just suddenly find themselves in the tent and can't remember how they got there. If you're like Jax, you'll need a little more personal convincing...

Also I promise, not every song for this AU has to be from The Greatest Showman, but it was the main inspiration so it's a little unavoidable.

i love how this animatic perfectly portrays caine and the rest of the crew. caine initially starts this song and dance out in the place that resembles the bar from the greatest showman, but uses his digital abilities to shape the environment around him. jax doesn’t seem too pleased with the prospect of being trapped in a digital circus, but caine doesn’t like to take no for an answer, you can see that by his cracking after jax’s initial rebuttal. he cons jax into staying at the circus, by giving him a false choice of an exit to make it seem like jax is in control of this decision to ditch his old life when in reality caine wouldn’t have let him go either way. jax falls into this trap from his ego and his need to feel important, and caine used that to his advantage. i love this animatic so much and i really think it’s creativeness will make it become a staple in the TADC fandom!

Okay, if I understood correctly...
Jax didn't want to be part of the circus, but mentioning his sad life got him thinking that if he earn enough money, he would fix his problems. But the moment the show ended and he wanted to escape with his money, he realized that he is stuck in a dimension that he can't run from. He leaves his jerkiness for his job since he wouldn't performence well if he was on bad terms with any other of the performers. Also, he is so fruity in that amimatic with these moves that I had to get a bowl to keep all the fruits 😂

At first I was going to comment something about Jax and his dynamic with Caine, the other members, or especially Ragatha, but I can only applaud you, you took the words out of my mouth, I loved it.

I love hiw this shows their personalities really well, and how Jax is in for the money. He onky realizes he can't leave when it's too late. The expressions are really amazing and the flow of the animation. I loved it, definitely one of my favorite TADC animatics.
