some guys will never understand taking the best of 2 things and putting them together. an ls swapped notch is like peanut butter & jelly! it just goes together perfectly!

Fox bodies are some of the best chassis for drag racing.. And LSX motors, are just the best :)

On a side note, LS engines have a lot in common with a 351W. Their bore centers and deck heights are equally permissive of similar bore/stroke combinations. They have the same firing order once you convert the numbers.

It was really easy with the correct K-member and transmission mount. We also went with a carb, and used the msd 6LS ignition setup.

Theres a fox on LS1tech with a cage, slicks, 4.11's a th400 stock 5.3 ms3 cam and 150 shot runnin 9's and the total build is less than 5k.. so theres a reason people use LS motors.. more reliable, cheaper to build sick power with a plain old 5.3 and the respond to mods great.

I can't argue. I'm a Ford guy and the coupe Fox is as light and cheap as you can get, coupled with an LS setup and it's pretty badass. I personally would rather keep the Ford married to a Ford motor, as I have with my own, but man, the cost savings...

I'm knocking this car one bit when I say this but its funny seeing a mustang powered by a GM motor. I do a search and find more and more videos of like this. Even one better is this I searched for camaro with a stang motor Nice car man..I hate mustangs but its good to see you got some real power under that hood.

Nice looking and sounding Fox, what's it make for power? My current Fox is an 89 Notch with an LME 370" shortblock wearing PRC heads, TSP cam kit, and a single billet wheel PTE 7675. It's on FITech EFI and backed by an RPM built PowerGlide. Ford 9" out back running 3:11 gearset with stock style suspension from QA1 and Lakewood. Subframe is from AJE and it has a custom chromoly cage certified to 8.50s built by Our shop. Cars PB this season was a 9.21 in full street trim and hoping to complete Drag Week this year with her! Were also running a 92 LX hatch with a Sportsman Coyote block, OEM heads/cams, PTE Gen 2 billet wheel 7685 through an RPM PowerGlide and Strange rear end. That car is shooting for 8.2x passes all season. The Coyote car made 1511whp on low boost and should see 1800+ on a good tune. My low-key LSX build makes just shy of 1100whp.

How easy was the LS2-LQ9 to put in and hook up? I want to put a LS2-LQ9 in my 85 Mustang GT. Will be a Carb motor

Please understand I didn't buy this car, I built it while working at 510 Race Engineering. The customer that paid for it just wanted a fast car for cheap. Enter the foxbody Mustang, lightweight good platform. Add a 408 LS motor for not much, in house ported stock LS2 castings, carb setup. First pass out was a 10.0 all motor. Hard to argue with, had maybe $8000 into the setup. Was supposed to have spray on it too.

nice car! and where did you order your hood ? love the way it go's all the way up to the windshield most cowl hoods for the fox body only make it to that huge cowl
