I recently completed both my admissions and visa apps for TUJ, still waiting on an official decision from the admissions committee.
Thanks for posting this video!

Thank you so much for this video! It was super helpful for me. Especially the canva website suggestion! I love canva so I will definitely use it. The only thing I find hard is the personal statement since it's so short and I have a lot to say!😄But I have the whole summer to figure out how I will fit my statement in it before I apply this fall! :)
P.S: And OMG I see SHINee in the back!😊

This is a really nice and refreshing video! I'm working towards transferring to TUJ for Spring 2018 and I've been literally searching for someone who had a positive review about TUJ. Honestly, I was sort of discouraged after awhile. So this really made me happy, lol. If I may, can I ask whether you're able to have enough free time outside of school? Some of the negative comments I read about TUJ, basically stated that they literally had no time for anything but school and sleep -_-

How are you paying for everything? Did you pay out of pocket for air fare?
I've read the list of tuition fees, housing fees, facility fees, etc. I want to go to TUJ in the future but I'm pretty poor lol

If any of you guys got accepted, do you mind telling me what gpa you had? I want to apply but I'm scared of spending 100 dollars on the application form and not even getting accepted. (I have a 2.4 currently)

Hi! I've applied and actually was recently accepted (woohoo!) to TUJ for the 2018 school year and I had a few questions that I haven't been able to find answers to.

First, I noticed the dorms in other YT videos and they seem to be fine dorms, but I was wondering when after the first semester how do you transfer to an apartment? I was told a lot of people room with other people to split the rent, but I'm worried I will have no idea where to look and how the transfer works.

Second, I plan to take on a full-fledged Japanese major. You mentioned that that's the least of your favorite classes and many other agree that it's intensely rigorous and difficult. However I was wondering if graduating with the degree is still possible and if you do get a scholarship that requires you to have a certain maintaining GPA, is it possible with the difficult Japanese classes?

Third, would it be necessary to focus all of your outside-of-class time for study? (Especially in regards to the Japanese class but also to others..) I'm not a huge study nut right now but I think if necessity calls I'd be able to pull a few all-nighters to memorise things or complete assignments.

Fourth, how do you get a subway/metro/above-ground train pass, and how long do they last for/how much are they?

Fifth, I've been curious about work-study and how balancing time with working works. I would like to have spending money but also survival money for paying rent, buying food, and household supplies as well as perhaps paying for monthly phone fees?

Sixth, how much free time do you have?

Seventh, I have indeed looked at the visa application fee and the money you have to show for and I'm a bit scared, as my family is definitely not the richest on in the world. How exactly do you gather up all of the financial stability resources to show for 3 million yen?

I have many more questions but I'd be humbled to hear the answers you have to the best of your ability. Thanks so much for this video and thank you for being open to answering these questions!
