Intravenous or Intraarticular Stem Cell Therapy for Knee Arthritis? There are so many regenerative medicine clinics advertising that intravenous or IV stem cell therapy will change your life and cure your pain. But is there clinical evidence to support these claims? Is there a randomized controlled trial directly comparing IV stem cell therapy to intra-articular stem cell therapy in the treatment of symptomatic knee arthritis? And it turns out, there is.

Please note that I get a lot of requests and questions about what equipment is ‘best’ for treating a variety of conditions. The following is not meant to be an exhaustive or definitive list. Your videos are bringing more awareness to stem cell use. I would love the research on the adverse effects of IV Stem Cell use. This really got my attention.

Thousands of people are traveling oversees to get IV stem cell therapy for different disorders. My daughter included to manage her autoimmune disease. I don't say they're aren't risks but I couldn't find any deaths from any of the clinics I spoke to. I would like to know more about the adverse affects you spoke of. Were the people with adverse effects going to have that outcome regardless of the therapy? What conditions were they treating? Was the Iv stem cell therapy directly linked to the adverse event? Thank you for your detailed videos and doing your best to show the pros and cons.

I had an msc IV outside the USA for autoimmune disease. I’ve also talked with the US doctors doing research on msc’s for lupus and a woman who’s life was saved by them. Now I’m likely to get injections for carpal tunnel and hand arthritis 🤞🤞. They work but like any other treatment, not on everyone equally

But by how much was the injection more successful than the IV ROUTE

Does this apply to MSC stem cell or are you referring only to stem cells derived from your body?

Dr Peng, thanks again for another very interesting and informative video. But it adds to my curiosity. Last Thursday, I had a PRP/BMAC procedure for my right hip and right knee. I am already very pleased with my knee and hip lags behind just a bit. The question I have related to the video is when they processed the blood for PRP they set some parameter on the machine for 2%. Looking at the volume of prp generated to the bag on the side of the machine, maybe the prp was best 2% of the volume. They referred to the remaining bag as "reserve", in case they needed it during the procedure. They didn't need it so it was safely discarded. Could that have been used for the other arthritic joints I have? Could that have been put on ice or in liquid N2 to preserve? Would it help to reinject into my blood system or would that cause blood clots? Thanks again for all you do!

Do you think PRP technology is improving? Like for the example the way PRP is created?

3:50 You say intraarticular injections of stem cells in the knee showed better healing, does that prove that stem cells regrow articular cartilage?
