We hold a photo contest every year and every year we look forward to seeing all the gorgeous pictures our customers enter. In fact, many of the photos you see in our catalog, on our website or in our newsletter are pictures that are former contest entries!

The contest begins when the daylilies bloom and ends in September. Prizes are awarded to the winners.

Visit our website in May to find out how to enter our 2025 contest. Entering is free and easy... we can't wait to see your daylily pictures!

ABOUT US:
Oakes Daylilies is a family-owned daylily farm that's been in business for four generations. Our daylilies grow in home gardens, city parks and botanical gardens across the nation– including Hawaii and Canada. We are known in the industry as Daylily Experts and grow over 1000 varieties of daylilies on nearly 70 acres in East Tennessee. But over 50 years ago, we started just like you—with one daylily in a home garden.

.............................
FARM-FRESH TO YOU!
When it comes to daylily plants, bigger is better! All of the plants we ship will be three fans or larger — two or three times (or more) what you might receive from other companies. Larger plants get established faster and produce more blooms quicker.

All of your plants will be freshly dug when you order. The leaves are trimmed and the plants are washed and air-dried. Your daylilies will be out of the ground less than 48 hours before they’re headed your way.

Ken, the unknown flower in the photo is coreopsis. I planted 'Indian Giver' last fall and I plan on surrounding it with golden coreopsis I am growing from seed. I can't wait for my spring delivery of daylilies. I have had enough of winter. Thank you for your weekly videos, I look forward to them!

Wow, great photos! Love everything about this video except that orange coffee mug, Ken, lol (says Kentucky gardener). All kidding aside, we hope to make it to your festival this year. Been on my bucket list long enough.

I am leaving my 24 flower beds in Taylors, SC soon and am moving to a large backyard in Maryville, TN . Please send me directions to your farm I sure want to visit it after we move! I have to make all new beds and plant then . I plan to include your daylilies in it. Unfortunately Ihave to wait until our SC house sells. I have loved all the daylilies I bought fomr your farm and grew in SC.
