Keep your eyes peeled for the “Locust” by CJRB, this one will be out on December 1. if anyone can do a button lock right, it’s Artisan Cutlery and CJRB! This new model is no exception.
The locust has an extra “safety button” on it. When you press this button, it keeps the Knife locked into place even when you are trying to press the button lock. This adds another point of contact and reinforcement for strength while using.
This blade has a spearpoint (a perfectly centered tip). Sometimes with spearpoint folders, the orientation of the blade can look confusing. The large thumb disc on this knife stands out helps you know which is the top side of the blade.
This has a really good blade to handle ratio and there is no space wasted. This also gives the knife good balance. The edges of the handle and spine are smoothed out, and there are no hotspots when holding. The blade itself has a very symmetrical look and feel.
