The Forgotten Part 2 - Joe Satriani

This is a tune by Joe Satriani
I am playing along with a backing track, minus the guitar leads.
Note that I don't copy tunes note for note, I add my own style to the tunes I play.

The guitar leads are being recorded direct from Guitar Rig 5 into Mixcraft 6 via the ASIO driver

The signal chain on this video goes like this
Guitar - Stereo tube preamp - Sound card line in - Guitar Rig 5 - Sound card out - Stereo power amp - Stereo speakers with 18 inch woofers

It's an all stereo chain from the preamp to the speakers.
My lead sounds and effects are coming from Guitar Rig 5.

The guitar is an Ibanez JS2400
Strings are Ernie Ball 11-48 Power Slinky

Ya I would probably be the same way.. probably the only real notable difference is the more extreme cutaway and slightly longer fretboard that clearly Joe makes good use of ... nice playing by the way its a cool song.

The lesson is to play the song and then play along. Slow the song down if you are having trouble.

I hardly ever play the 1200CA since I got the 2400. Not that the 1200CA is a bad guitar, just seems I always reach for the 2400. They both feel about the same to me. I don't really notice a big difference when I go back and forth
