White tiger cubs have been shown off at Tobu Zoo in Japan but are still too young to be seen close up by visitors. Cameras were allowed in to film the four healthy cubs at Tobu Zoo who are still too young to leave their mother. Zoo visitors are not allowed to see them close up yet but can see them with their mother on a live TV feed outside the tiger enclosure.

The rare species has a population of only 100 to 200 world-wide so these births are treasured. The cubs have not been named yet and the public is being asked for suggestions ahead of a naming ceremony at the end of May. Report by Ashley Fudge.
