They need to investigate based on cctv footage if available. KSRTC bus drivers generally think of themselves as lord of the roads.

Issue with two distinct motivations and lack of facilities... KSRTC buses stop often in the roads to pick up passengers and drop so a slow journey...while the tourist bus is trying to get to Otty as quick so that the tourists can enjoy from early morning . Typically KSRTC buses would just park on the road, while the other vehicles wait behind and often there is no two lanes so that others can get past it...Hence this friction which unfortunately caused so much destruction of lives :(

Roads should have dedicated wide parking bays for buses to enter into, so that they dont hold up traffic coming from behind and a two lane marked roads in each direction is a must.

Its heartrending to hear about the loss the families are experiencing due to the tragic accident. Words cannot express my condolences.
The passengers travelling in the bus need to be proactive & immediately report about such rash or overspeeding drivers. If they don't comply, then take a video & report to the next available RTO check point & transport department so that necessary action can be taken against such errant rogue drivers. I sincerely feel that these steps by passengers could help in averting disasters. Prevention is better than cure.

It's really sad to hear this...but don't that bus driver have any common sense...driving at high speed will give more chance to accidents. If you can't control the vehicle don't overspeed!!

Turist Driver said ksrtc driver sudden breaked during the passing time one guy wend out to the place he push the bell sudden ksrtc stop this guy said everything to police but ther is no more enquiry about that complaint why and why protracting ksrtc driver they saying ksrtc not get sudden break but in video can sea ksrtc break light blinking that means ksrtc give sudden break during the overtaking time

The way this KSRTc bus drivers drive is very dangerous, they have no road manners. It was bound to happen, why is the government allowing this. They don't stay in their lane and won't move to their lane too.
