Lectionary: 447

Alleluia: See Mt 11:25
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Blessed are you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth;

Gospel: Luke 8:1-3
Jesus journeyed from one town and village to another, preaching and evangelizing the kingdom of God. The twelve were with him, along with certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, who is called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had departed, and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many other women, who were ministering to him from their resources.

A great message and one that should be pondered over by every Christian. I, and sadly like many Christians, never seemed to embrace my faith in a manner that it deserved. We have a desire to walk in faith through our presence in church and participating in church functions, but when we walk out the door, we leave our "religion" in the church. Now, I speak only for myself, how little did I understand what a disservice I was doing to myself and my faith. Many times in your messages you have referenced indifference as a disservice to our faith. AMEN, that is so true, and it was true in my case. We all struggle to put our faith in the proper alignment it deserves in our life. It wasn't until I understood this that my faith began to grow and flourish. It is the priority of my life! It does not interfere or intervene in my life, it is my life. Think to yourself, how can the TRUTH hurt me? The assurance of God to never leave me or forsake me removes, removes all the fear and anxiety that the life we have in the flesh can throw at us! I know, no I believe in the promises of God that are found in the life, death, and resurrection of His only Son for my life! It is that love that moves me to witness and spread His message on any, any occasion that presents itself. It is no secret, yet you would think it was from the reluctance of Christians to openly talk about it outside of church. We have a living God, a resurrected Son, and a Holy Spirit who are always with you, and, believe it or not, will give you the confidence and authority to openly talk about it! That is what Spiritual Faith is all about, spreading the good news through whatever means we are capable of. It is not difficult to make your faith the priority in your life. It is the acceptance that it truly is! Then you can say as I say, "I have consecrated every part of my life to our Lord and His mission." 🙏💖🕊🕊🕊
