I had a 1975 Boler, made in Canada. The Scamps were modelled after the Boler. Mine too was a 13 foot and I hauled it the first year with a Toyota Tercel and later with a Corolla and had no problem. Foolishly, I sold it when I went seasonal and bought a larger trailer, now, wish I had kept it. It is what it is!! You’ve done a great job decorating your little “me space” you also have few options that I didn’t have in mine, but, it was a gem!!! I hope you have many years of enjoyment out of it.

Great job explaining all the outside stuff- I usually zone out when people explain the technical stuff but you made it super easy to understand! Great job and safe travels.

Nice! We bought a 2021 ( used but like new) in May and have taken our first trip. I was worried about how small it is but am now thrilled that we bought it. We have the shower/toilet version and again the size turned out to be a non-factor. We love it!

Old mechanic, had big boats/ 31 '1970s Airstream, big motorhomes.
30 ' footer now. Also, ex multiple million mile Semi driver.
Here's a couple pro tips, for you new Campers + Glampers.
Don't put your fingers inside sewer hose 😳 😃 Also, throw out those junk blue hoses, and buy a Rhino Sewer hose. Walmart, etc. Cheap insurance against cheap blue hose failures.
Always look and check that hose is completely locked, before pulling dump handle.
On loading single or double axle trailers, always load most weight in FRONT of axle (s) or into tow vehicle.Never weight behind axles, that leads to dangerous sway conditions.
Always check your tire pressure, and inflate when cold, to Max cold pressure, shown on tire sidewall.
Low air pressure leads to dangerous tire heating, and blow outs, especially in high heat road conditions.

Congratulations! I too have a 2016 13' Scamp like yours. I added solar recently. I enjoy boondocking.

Very nice, cute little camper. Too bad here in Europe its so expensive to do something similar.. I allways had this dream about restoring a little camper like yours. And what a sweet young lady you are..

Enjoy your Scamper! ❤❤❤ My parents had an ECCO Camper which is basically identical except you have an A/C unit, lucky you!😊. Growing up, it was the best. We loved it plus its way economical to pull. I would love to find another but I need a slide-in so I can pull my boat. Enjoy, you'll love it!❤❤❤

So, since a wet-bath kit is important to me, the next step is to open up your rectangular shallow tupperwate, assemble your folding toilet w/bio-bags, hang shower curtain, and suspend your gravity-feed "solar shower" bag with nozzle (use cook stove to heat water to drsired temp for showering or washing dishes for filling solar shower).

There's a 2 year waiting list for a new one, they have highly trained workers and choose not to scale up production to maintain high standards. In the end we bought a lightly used 5 year old Rockwood, which is a great alternative. Casitas are also like a Scamp, from Texas, and are made by some of the Scamp family members who broke away. Stay safe out there.
